That is right the league that was considered the most inovative and competitive in BBMO history will be making a comeback. I am starting this now with the anticipation of beginning in a month, so don't worry about having to leave a league in order to join straight away.
#1 unequalized league
#2 everyone has 100 million to start with
#3 you must place a bid for your team, city and amount (i.e. New York for 80 million)
#4 I will begin each cities auction at a set time and end it exactly 3 days later. There will be 3 city auctions going on at any time.
#5 The following Tokyo and New York will each have two teams.
#6 every city will be set at its true value (i.e. Mexico City will have a huge population, but a low income base)
#7 Any team will be a minimum of 60 million to purchase.
#8 Preferential treatment will be given to long term GM's
#9 The following cities will run their auctions on these days (these cities shall be in the league).
Tokyo- nysteinbrenner 300,030,003
trucoug 190,000,005
New York- smokind23 240 million

this will give us 25 teams the last 5 will be add in from people who have atempted bids on the most cities yet have failed to land one. They will be allowed to choose any city left over at the price of 40 million.
#10- Each team will be allowed a "mini-me" this will be a superstar player with their name or any name which they choose.

My Tokyo franchise is hereby announcing a "Name the Team" contest. The winner receives lifetime season tickets to the club's games.
You can suggest as many names as you like; just post them here to be considered. If there's one I like, I'll use it. Otherwise, we'll probably be the Yomiuri Giants, Chunichi Dragons, or some other Japanese-League sounding name.

ok here is going to be the basic information on the stadium building. You can spend up to 200 million for free. Anything extra must be financed. Here is a idea of what you can get for 196 million and I will give you a list of about how much things cost to upgrade.
Dimensions of field
Left
Left Center
Center
Right Center
Right
These will be able to be any size you would like within some limitations I will set but will not effect the cost of the field
Playing Field
Infield Quality - Average (cost goes up or down slightly for Poor, Fair, Good or Excellent about 1.5 million a level)
Infield Grass- Very Short, Short, Average, High or Very High. It does not effect the cost of the field
Visibility- Poor, Fair, Average, Good or Excellent will not effect the cost of the field
Foul Ground- Tiny, Small, Average, Large or Huge will not effect the cost of the field
Seating
Capacity 50000 (looks like about 2.9 million per thousand)
Convenience- Average (can reduce or increase you cost with Poor, Fair, Good or Excellent although expensive. Looks like about 30 million per level)
Comfort- Average (can reduce or increase you cost with Poor, Fair, Good or Excellent although expensive. Looks like about 30 million per level)
Sight Lines- Average (can reduce or increase you cost with Poor, Fair, Good or Excellent although expensive. Looks like about 30 million per level)
Surface- Grass (Turf is about 2 million cheaper)
Structure- Open (Domed or convertable will have a large baring on the cost differential for this the larger the facility the more expensive it will be to make it domed or convertable.) Based on 50,000 the cost is about 24 million for Domed and about 96 million for convertable.
I will want to start doing these soon, so I will give you all complete details soon.

JW,
I realize that you're going to provide more info down the road, but about these figures you're listing..
Are we talking about $1.5M/30M/etc. from this baseline, using Convenience as an example:
$30M spent would equate to "Poor",
$60M spent would equate to "Fair",
$90M spent would equate to "Average",
$120M spent would equate to "Good", and
$150M spent would equate to "Excellent?"
Or this one?
"Poor" would result in a $60M savings,
"Fair" would result in a $30M savings,
"Average" would result in no savings, but no cost,
"Good" would result in $30M being spent, and
"Excellent" would result in $60M being spent?
Also, what are the baseline costs for Grass Surface and Open Structure? Telling us turf is cheaper and that domed/convertible structures are more is great, but without knowing what the baselines are, it hinders budgeting.

This would be the basic correct formula, and the grass and open air are part of the 196 million price.

Any chance we can change the loans to revolving ones (i.e., no specific length), but with minimum payment of say, 7-10% of the total amount owed instead, a la a credit card loan? It'd hurt us stupid, debt-laden teams heavily early on, but over time would help us immensely.

GAIJIN PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCES STADIUM
TOKYO, JAPAN (AP) -- At a press conference earlier today, members of the Tokyo Gaijin Baseball Partnership, LP, announced their plans for the newest wonder to grace the Tokyo skyline: Sadaharu Oh Stadium.
Sadaharu Oh Stadium is named for famed Yomiuri Giants star Sadaharu Oh, the Japanese legendary first baseman who led the Japanese leagues in home runs 15 times and RBI 13 times, won five batting titles and two triple crowns, hit an astounding 868 home runs as part of his 2,786 career hits, all on the way to leading his Yomiuri Giants to 11 Japan Series titles. He was an 18-time All Star, and won the Japanese Leagues' MVP award nine times before retiring in 1980.
"We are very pleased to honor Japanese Baseball's greatest player by naming our stadium for him," explained TGBP spokesperson Yoshi Amagato. "Oh san is revered, and we were exuberant upon learning that he had agreed to lend his name to the project."
To be the first open-air constructed facility in Tokyo in nearly three decades, Sadaharu Oh Stadium will almost certainly be known as a hitters' park, with its field dimensions mirroring those of the Central League's smallest park - Yokohama Stadium, which measures 309 down the left and right field lines, 365 in left and right center fields, and just 386 to straight-away center.
Unlike Yokohama Stadium, which was built in 1978, Sadaharu Oh Stadium will feature more modern amenities, including excellent infield quality, average infield grass, and good visibility. The stadium will have a tiny amount of foul ground however in an effort to make the best possible use of available land. The facility also will use grass as opposed to artificial turf, which was favored in Yokohama and many other Japanese League stadia.
Sadaharu Oh Stadium will feature the largest seating capacity of any baseball stadium in Japan at 77,777 seats. The stadium will hope to fill those seats with an excellent level of convenience (including a sushi/karaoke bar that rotates around the upper ring of the stadium each hour, giving spectators the chance to literally see the game from all angles).
The stadium will have excellent comfort as well, with each seat featuring not only a beverage holder, but a SONY video screen on the back which offers each fan an opportunity to interact with others in the stadium, check game statistics, or even e-mail the manager with suggestions. Sight lines in the stadium will be excellent as well, with each seat's alignment to either home plate or the pitcher's mound being determined by laser triangulation.
Originally intended to be designated Sadaharu Oh Yakyu Stadium in an effort to specify its intent as a baseball-only facility, TGBP ultimately decided not to go that route.
"It was decided by the partnership that focusing on yakyu to that degree might be short sighted, said Amagato. "In addition to yakyu, the facility will host concerts, the sumo, and other events. We are currently discussing getting an 'American Bowl' game from America's National Football League as well."
The construction timetable is ambitious, with the stadium expected to be ready in time for the World League of Baseball's inaugural season. TGBP is still conducting a contest to name the club, which will begin play with the 2005 season.

Everyone, I need your information as soon as possible, as I am trying to build this database as we go. I have most of the preliminary information in, so stadiums and mini-me information as well as team names will be extremely helpful to getting the league done right at the end of the bidding period.

The East Manhattan railyards have been purchased and donated for use in constructing the new stadium in NY.
A group comprised solely of the waste management companies in NY, known as The Family LLC, purchased the land for an undisclosed amount and turned it over to the City of New York.
" The proposed site is perfect for our new sport facility" commented Mayor Bloomberg. " The site is centrally located to all five boroughs and the two tunnels leading to New Jersey. With just a little tweeking of the public transportation system as well as private contracts for transportation to the site, this facility will be accessable to anyone who wishes to attend a game. The addition of a team in the World League will help establish New York as a frontrunner as a host city for the 2016 Olympics."
This transaction has helped fuel speculation that the city has not only loosened their stance on organized crime but has become bed buddies with the criminal families of the city.
The announcement of the team name - the New York Mafia - as well as the announcement that companies owned by The Family LLC have been awarded the sole private transportation contract as well as waste removal and maintenance for the facility for their contribution all but announced the marriage of the Mayor's office and New Yorks crime families.
The city announced that they will not be accepting any bids for the construction of the facility as they have already narrowed it down to three companies that they will accept bids from, they have not disclosed the names of these three companies.
When asked how they were able to acquire the land and the delay in the announcement, CEO of The Family LLC, Jimmy 'Big Stones' Iannone said " We have had a long standing relationship with the rail companies in NY. We made them an offer that they couldn't refuse and to tell you the truth, we basically paid pennies on the dollar for this real estate. As for the delay in announcing this purchase and donation to the City, we needed to do some landscaping to make the area suitable for construction. We needed to remove some things that would most definately have been an obstruction to the development of the area."
