I've seen what you're talking about with the BBM scheduling, with some teams going over a month without a home game.
I remember real teams doing long road trips when they were near one coast and went to play the other coast (East - West). I don't remember anything like 27 games in a row though, it was more like two or three weeks at a time.

the latest season i played i had a 21 or 24 game home stand. With no more than maybe 14 games in a row for any road trips. Maybe this will get better with the emergence of the next couple of expansion teams in the future for my historical game.

I especially like the 6-game series with a day off in the middle that you sometimes get. That stuff used to happen waaaay back in the day, but I'm talking 1990s here. :)

I saw that either this year, or a season or two ago. I like it too, and i think they should do it more frequently.

There have been a couple instances of long road trips, but I don't know if they ever reached 20 games.. For example, the Houston Astros when one of the political parties had the Astrodome booked for a convention..

I don't think you'd mind a 24-game road trip if the following month you had a 24-game homestand. :p

well sometimes this can lead to less money or more money. I've noticed my teams get less attendance at the beginning of the season, so if most of my home games(say 60 of the 81) are in the 1st half of the season(i've seen it happen) then i dont make as much as if it was evenly divided for 1st half and 2nd half or more home games are in the 2nd half. Thats the only things that bothers me sometimes. I check once in awhile to see the home to away ratio at allstar break.

You're right, and that's only part of it. Your attendance is directly linked to your team W-L record.
Since most teams win more at home than on the road, if you only play .525 ball on that road trip, you're going to suffer lower attendance when you get back home.
The game doesn't seem to recognize the concept that a playoff contender gets more interest no matter what their record is, the fact that teams on hot streaks do get more fans in the seats no matter what their overall record is, and that fans will come out to see if a particular player can get to 200 Ks or 50 HRs.
