2006 - Free Agents not Coming Aboard

Just downloaded Football Mogul 2006. When I buy the contract of a free agent, my salary base is affected, but the player's name doesn't show up on my roster. :confused:

Can you give an example of this? A way that we could repeat this ourselves to see it?

For example: "Start the game as the Chargers. Sign Haywood Jablomey from the Free Agent List. Check roster."

Whoops, never mind. I didn't have enough money to buy the FA, so of course he wouldn't show up. When I started a new season and bought a couple for my roster, they showed up. Sorry for the bother.

i noticed the same thing.

If you double click on the players name and his player screen opens up, and click on negotiate and you sign hime he does not leave the FA pool. but if you just click on his name once on the FA list and click sign , it works properly.

Clay it has happen to me both time i have played, I uninstalled and reinstalled and there was no diffrence.

Free agent is signed , you lose the money but agent never joins and the price you see when you try to sign agent also seems to change.

I am noticing the problem as well. If you pull up the scouting info on a free agent and then select "negotiate" to sign the player, he will not join the team or leave the FA pool, however, any bonus money is deducted from your cash.

If you simply sign the FA from the FA pool screen, then it works properly. Unfortunately, if you pull up the full scouting info on a player, you have to remember to close that window and sign the player directly from the pool options.

Hopefully this could be fixed in the next update.

Also, it does appear difficult for most teams to make money on the default settings.
