One thing I'm noticing as starting pitchers get older is that they have less stamina. That's an obvious statement.

That being said, if their stamina numbers are in the 65-75 range, why are they averaging less than five innings, and often getting pinch-hit for in the 3rd inning?

I still think the whole concept of stamina needs some major work--but I had an old rotation, and NONE of them hit 200 innings with 35+ starts each. (Yes, I've tried lowering their start counts, but that hasn't made a difference)

With the same quibble/bug comes this: most starters aren't getting nearly enough decisions.
