I was just wondering about the way that new pitching is generated. After about 5 years or so it seems that the most dominating pitchers are the 40 year olds. I was in a league that went to 2015 and a couple of seasons past and the none of the new pitchers that the game generated were dominate.

The game seems to generate some good offensive talent. But the pitching is weak. In the Baseball Mogulers league it is 2007 and there are some good offensive players emerging but few good starting pitchers.

One tendency I have noticed is that the rating for movement for pitchers are not nearly as high. This seems ecpecially severe in starting pitchers. Those who have a good power rating tend to have terrible movement. The only exception to the low movement grades tend to be in relief pitchers.

My scouting has always been #1 in the leagues I have been. I just wondered if anyone else has noticed this because I think it may hurt the long term success of the on-line gaming. If this happens you will probably see that after a league goes about 15 seasons it will disband or really dwindle in participation.

Is just me or is there something in the way the players are generated?

We'll take a look at that...I've been noticing it too.

However, this will definitely not solve the problem of leagues dwindling down once they pass 2010 or so. Most casual players want to manage players they know, not some computer generated rookie.

That's why, as a league commissioner, you cannot expect to get new members to join your league after about 2012-2015. Many leagues either go from being full to about half full, or disband.
