Hey, playing Chicago N in NABL Shuffle, I have Kevin Brown. He's 46 years old and, shall we say, no longer very good. I thought all players retired after age 45? Has that been changed?

All players have an internal algorithm deciding when they will retire, depending on their age, injuries and how good they THINK they still are. (It actually has nothing to do with how much they are getting paid).

This ALMOST ALWAYS leads to retirement by age 45.

I've got Denny Neagle pithcing at 46 in the NPL AGAIN league. The funnniest part ... I've sign him for another three years (before realizing that 45 wasn't the mandatory retirement age.)

I've noticed that if you put a player in the minors, it seems to increase the likelyhood that they will retire in the offseason.
