What causes, and what solves, the following problem?
I started in Year X with the Twins. In year X + 3, I switched to the Astros by manually removing my ownership of the Twins in the League Editor. I deleted my name as 'owner,' switched teams to "all computer" then switched only the Astros to my name, and player owned.
However when I now try to use "trades" or the "trading block" it still thinks that the Twins are my team. As far as I can tell, the only way to switch to the Astros is to go into commish mode and do it that way.
What should I do?

You can go onto the main screen (standings) and click on Houston. Then exit out of the popup and when you click trades, free agents, etc., it should pop up as the Astros. Once you do that, it should revert to the Astros each time afterwords

The trade screen and all other screens are based on the last team selected for ease of use. In other words, do what he said.

I'm bumping this because I still find that it's a problem in Mogul 2007. Any help would be appreciated. There's something more to this than just the last team selected. Somewhere, Mogul remembers the last team you had control over and won't switch the 'trading block' or 'trades' when you have taken control of a new team. I'm going to play around a little bit and see what I can do to change it, but this is a pain in the neck.

Ok. I'm not positive but it seems like this is a problem only in the offseason, leading up to April 1 of the next year. I'd say it's a serious problem for this reason;
Switch teams after the season. When the Amateur Draft comes up, your picks are given to your previous team.
It seems like everything rights itself when April 1 comes around.

ah, ok. I was gonna say... I've never seen the problem myself, but i've never tried to do what you've just described.

this is an easy fix.
this problem has been around since 2k3...
go to league editor, highlight and copy your Team Owner, if you want to switch teams..go to the team that you want to switch too...then click paste on the team owner (ctrl v)...
go back to your old team, and click on computer owner.
it works.

say my Team owner name is "boomboom", if i write in boomboom for the new team it wont work, but if I highlight it, then copy, and past it on another team it should...
I will post a pic on my next post :)
I hope this does resolve your issue. Thou, i havent tried it with 2k7, last time was with 2k5.

OK, that makes sense in a weird kind of computer programming way. I suspected it had something to do with Owner names, which I've tried to circumvent by making teams "all computer" to zero everything out, and many variations of the theme, to no avail. I'll check this out and go from there.
