Does veteranism play a role in playoffs?

Is that a person who takes care of sick pets?

:D

What are you referring to? That veterans play better or worse than younger players in the postseason?

Haha, yeah, I'm wondering if players with more experience will perform better than rookies in playoffs (mainly pitchers). Obviously a great rookie will outperform an old crappy pitcher, but will rookies be shakier in playoffs and will veterans generally have more quality starts? i.e. Kevin Brown or Randy Johnson vs. Tim Hudson and Kip Wells, etc.

I think the players ability, his mental make up, current confidence level, and how he's been playing lately all are factors in how they will perform in the playoffs. Not just experience.

If you are claiming that vets perform better in the playoffs, then you are also saying that these same vets did not perform that well when they were rookies. Making the distinction between rookies and vets leaves out too many other important factors.
