I know I speak for many people when I say the minor league system is one of the greatest aspects of Baseball Mogul. However, many would also agree that an expanded system would make this game even better.

One suggestion is having an actual minor league system with a fully loaded roster. In other words, we should be able to check out standings and statistics for the Las Vegas 51s (AAA) or any other team. It shouldn't be that hard, as right now we already have statistics for these players. Having the whole roster would bring much more realism to the minor league system and should be considered for future versions. This would also help the managers decide if they have a good farm system or a barren one.

Another suggestion is having a place (maybe headlines at the beginning of each season) to check out the top prospects of the minor leagues. I know for me, checking everyone's prospects one by one, team by team, even with the search, is a hassle. By having a page with maybe the top ten or twenty prospects, it would greatly encourage realism, and even trading.

Anyways, this is what I think. I am a huge minor league fan, so my suggestions may be skewed =) Any additional comments are welcome...

A complete minor league system could be very cool, especially given how central to the game development is.

It could also add a whole new layer to trades and drafting. 'Should I draft university players ready for AAA, trade veterans for almost ready for prime time youth or do a salary dump and get some long range prospects?'

I'm no law-talkin' guy but I wonder if that would require the Mogul makers to buy a whole new set of marketing rights on names.

My only other thought is that this idea might be better to wait on. It would be hard to integrate into the mogul system. I'd like to see some the current features tweaked and the easier to produce new elements (IE- The trading block) in place first.

Well, since the game already uses real minor leaguers in the AAA, it probably isn't that big of a problem if we expanded on that. If not, false names are always an option, since the new rookies already use fictional identities.

Another suggestion...if having a new system for the minor leagues is not an option, I suggest the addition of lower levels like AA and A class ball (similar to Sierra's Front Page Baseball). This way you can oversee the developement of players more in-depth. Also, the writers probably won't need to rewrite the game because it already has a class for minor leaguers. And, the three levels of minor leagues will have its own different unique use.

Anyways, just another suggestion...
