Game locks up after first season.
Happens every time I played.
This happening to anyone else?

It doesnt lock up, just takes awhile.

I'm not seeing this. Did you edit the league or start with a fantasy draft?

Can you e-mail the .mog file to me -- right before it locks up?

No changes at all, even let it play without any trades as soon as I select start next

Arizona Mogul
All Default
Play entire season
Play Through Playoffs
Play Renew Contracts
Start new Season (yes)
3 mins later
Reminder (yes)
So I was just not patient enough

To clarify. The game DOESN'T hang, but there is a 3-minute delay that seems like a pause.

Is there a progress bar at least?

No bar, it just freezes and if you wait it will come back.

It looks like the new patch is causing some problems with some game files. Here's what I'm seeing.

1. As end of season, after Super Bowl, click "Renew Contracts".

2. Then click 'OK' when the game said "Your team(s) have players with expiring contracts. You should renegotiate these contracts before starting a new season (especially if you are close to the salary cap), or you may lose important players. Start a new season anyway?","

Then I'm getting a long (couple minutes) wait. And then Football is trying show a message box. The problem is that Windows is putting the message UNDER the main Football screen. So it LOOKS like the program is 100% frozen.

Anyway, after a few minutes, check your Task Bar at the bottom of the screen for another Football Mogul icon. Clicking on it and clicking 'OK' should let you proceed.

That MIGHT fix your problem in the short term.

I'm also working on fixing this problem and any other hangs that occur and will post a new patch ASAP.

I'm attaching the most recent patch that fixes that end-of-season hang.

Unzip this file and copy it over the FB2K6.exe file in your installation.

(By default, this is at c:\Program Files\Sports Mogul\Football 2006\FB2K6.exe)
