Every year, the human with the worst record will be booted.

Unlimited drops prior to the season; dropped players will go to the highest bidder.

If there are 15 teams or less, the human with the worst record will be dropped at the end of each year.
If there are 16+ teams, the 2 humans with the worst record will be dropped each season until 8 humans remain.

I heard a rumor that all the best GMs had already joined, so even if you did join you probably wouldn't last past 1 season anyway. The 2 worst human GMs get booted at the end of every year until there's 8 left; and then 1 every year until there's only the best one left.
