Grandfathered??????????????

On my account page It says "grandfathered" next to my screen name, and silver account package. What is that?

Clay explained this in his newsletter.

He is changing how many leagues a silver and gold account can make to be less. If you have an existing account, it is "grandfathered" to follow the old rules. New accounts will not be able to create as many leagues as before.

if you change your account status, say from silver to gold, or vice versa...the grandfathered, will no longer exist on your account.

For example, if you are silver and it is grandfathered, and upgrade to gold, then decide down the road, to go back to silver, at silver you wont beable to commish a league....even thou you have never left, and your account should be grandfathered anyways...this kind of bugs me.
