Release Date for 2002 & Question

I was wondering if you could provide an update on how much longer till FB Mogul 2002 is released? In addition, there is one ferature that the original mogul did not have (or I didn't know how to do this), which I would loe if it was available for the new version. Is there a utility to download the rosters in like a .csv format. It would make managing a team much much easier in my opinion. Not to mention another product, but OOTP has this, and if Football Mogul 2002 had it, I would be extatic. In addition are you including a trading block feature like you did in baseball?

We really have been focusing on the Baseball Mogul series of products over the past few months, because we are now set to release the game by Opening Day (to get the game in major retail stores).

Future releases have really not been set yet...we still need to officially release BBM 2k3 and then one more "surprise" and then we'll begin Football Mogul...

Currently, the only two features we have announced for FBM 2k3 are year-by-year stats and a fantasy draft option.

We will not have NFL licensing.

I'm not sure about the .csv exporting.

What happened to first quarter release & the 2K2 name? Also, the two announced features are ok but in 03 the NFL will sport 32 teams and 8 divisions. Those are the only two things that have to be added to any game that carries a 2k3 title. Anything else is gravy.

Obviously, those won't be the only two new features in the game.

It's customary in the computer game industry to name the game one year in advance. So if we publish it in 2002, it would be Mogul 2k3. It's the same thing with cars.

Hey,

You and the team at Mogul Sports have been calling it 2k2, even have a beta with the name. This is the first time 2k3 has been used, thats why I asked about the change.

So it will have a 03 setup then? According to this http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?threadid=5766 thats not the case.

So what about the Feb/MAR release date mantioned here http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?threadid=6929? Whats it look like now?

It's been changed :)

Shortly after I posted that we had to put all our resources into getting Baseball Mogul 2k3 released because of our retail deal that will hopefully get the game in stores by Opening Day.

We were originally planning to release the game last fall, thus calling it 2k2.

I cannot guarentee anything...but I think we're on pace to get the game out in time for the upcoming NFL season. Since it will be released later, it probably will have the new division alignments.
