Off season expenses?

Do expenses count during the playoff and free agent period? I've seen some teams jack their spending way, way up during the playoffs. Does this do anything? Is there a strategy to it?

I don't think it matters what you spend in the postseason, and I know it doesn't matter what you spend in the offseason.

I think people raise their expenses as a kind of good luck charm.

Yep. Clay told me that the expenses rankings are basically an average of your rankings for each game over the past 162 regular season games. So the postseason and offseason have nothing to do with it.
