Fielding question (IF, OF)

I have a guy that is listed as IF, 1B on the defense screen, but his card says 2nd baseman, Chris Bernardo (http://www-1.sportsmogul.com/bb/bg.pl?page=batter&id=2830) . First, why does it say 1B? Doesn't IF include that, it seems to include 2B? Second, does this mean he can play all infield positions equally well, or is he better at 1st & 2nd base?

You cannot link to a player's scouting report outside of your league. People have to be in your league to see it. Likewise, you cannot link to a small window since there is no need to outside of your league forum.

IF does not include 1B. I have no idea why the card lists him as a 2B instead of an infielder. I think it does mean he is better as an IF than 1B, but is competent enough at 1B to play the position effectively. At least, that's what I've gleaned from my experience with the game.
