If one guy did really well (Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Sam Walton, Cornelius Vanderbilt), and accumulated a ton of wealth over his lifetime - so much so that it spilled uber-wealth onto his family and descendants - how long should that uber-wealth last, by itself?     The point is that wealth is a zero sum game. Poor are getting poorer. Does it make sense, on its face, for 40% of america to be in poverty, but for a few in the 1% to inherit billions? It makes sense, by the rules of the game of capitalism. But it doesn't make sense when looked at abstractly. It's one of the flaws of capitalism - one family, one corporation, can become a decade or generation spanning wealth machine, slowly sucking more and more out, while the lowest classes get drained...
