But yeah in general there's a pretty good group of guys on this forum who will answer anything that needs answering (and maybe some questions that are better left unanswered).
I saw Andre Dawson. And let me tell you something. There were only two players in my lifetime whose teammates held them in awe. One was Mickey Mantle. The other was Andre Dawson. If you were around, if you saw them play, you know that. But the numbers don't tell you that.

    Hello again guys,

I have a follow up question on the same topic. When playing games in past years, can we take it for granted that historical players will match their real career stats?

    Thanks.

I believe that by ticking the "simulation" box (about 2/3 of the way down the middle column, in the "League Editor") this can be enabled...I'm not 100% sure, perhaps others can confirm?

Re: READ FIRST: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Hi, I am new to the forums and I have a question. How do I turn on commissioner mode? I want to create a league of teams throughout the history of baseball. I need to be the commissioner to set up divisions of teams within that league. I want to have a wildcard playoff format. Thanks for any help.

Also, is there a way to create players? I wanted to try this too. For instance I wanted to bring some 1880's and 1890's stars into my league eventually.

I used to play season ticket baseball back in 03' and 04'. It kind of died out and I did not hear about this game until recently. I quickly ordered it from amazon, and played the demo for a bit. It is really a great game. Thanks again for any help and/or advice.

What version are you playing? In any of the more recent versions, if you open League Editor (under the League menu) , it will give you an option to enable Commissioner mode. Also, in Tools/Options, there is a checkbox near the middle of the page for Commissioner mode.

I've never created players but I think the Help files describe copying and editing players (which is done in Commissioner mode, of course.)

Re: READ FIRST: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Ok, I have created a league that has teams from different eras. I am playing as the 1927 Yankees. But most teams have players in their minor league system, mine does not. Do I have to play with my current roster until amateur draft day on June 2nd before I can aquire more players?

There is also only one free agent in my free agents list. I am going to be hard pressed if my starters do not pitch well. But I guess that's the way it was in real life. Thanks for any help. If there is a way to stock my minors with players, please let me know. I would like to have a least a few prospects to look at.
