And who would I go to a concert with? And how would I get there? It's not like I can go drive over to the IZOD Center or to Madison Square Garden and see a concert.

Like I said, I guarantee this is not true. I live in a small suburb in New Jersey, and there's a bunch of places within a 20 minute drive radius that I can go see shows at. I guarantee you that there's a lot of places on Staten Island. you just haven't heard of them.
Just randomly googled a Staten Island band's Myspace. Shows at:
NYC Arts Cypher - 12 Broad Street
372 Van Duzer Street
Great Kills Library Basement - Giffords Lane
That's ONE small band, with 3 shows at 3 different places on Staten Island.
lol that is incredibly funny. Every time I have seen SYG (once they played with Paramore) it was this funny clash of hardcore kids, punk kids, and whoever else they were playing with kids.
When they played with Paramore it was the funniest thing I think I have ever seen. All these 14-15 year old girls and emo kids cheering for Paramore while all the SYG kids (hardcore and punk) would not shut up while SYG was on. When Goals left they booed cause they wanted them to keep playing and then Paramore was on and on the floor you saw all the hardcore and punk kids move to the back while the little kids shoved their way up.
I laughed.

Updated list after going to the Rest In Sleaze concert last night.
Baby Jane definitely stole the show.
Sister Sin was awesome too. Their whole set I was thinking, this sounds a lot like early Motley Crue, then they finished with Live Wire
Lizzy Pistol stood out too
