Just finished season 1 the other night and have extensions due tonight. We are a pretty active league with alot of dedicated members. We have 3 teams open right now with possibly 1 or 2 opening after tonight.

Baltimore Orioles- 76-86, 4th in ALE
Their top 3 SP are Matusz, Arrieta and Halladay and have some nice guys ready to come up. Their lineup is also young. This is a team with a little offseason work can compete in the AL next year.

Houston Astros- 52-110 , 6th in NLC, 3rd worst record in league
They were terrible but have alot of good upcoming talent. They have alot of work to do and are a project team but they got the pieces in the minors to work well with.

Colorado Rockies- 71-91, 4th in NLW
They have alot of holes but they do have some solid ML pieces and a very nice farm. If you fill the holes they can compete for a division title next season.

FA will also open tonight. Extension due at 8 EST tonight with FA right after.

Heading into final month of play. 1 team open which is SD. SD is 49-88 and looking at the 1st overall pick. They do though have a great and loaded farm so it wont be hard to make them a competitor soon. Really active 2nd year and look to keep it up.

SD filled but STL became open. STL has struggled because of no GM but is a team that could easily compete for a world series with a GM. Sims tonight and tomorrow. Playoffs Tuesday night

Just finished our 2nd season. The Florida Marlins beat the Anaheim Angels in the World Series 4-1. STL is our only team open.

St. Louis Cardinals- 75-87, 5th in NLC. They have alot of good pieces and can compete. They fell apart in last 2 months because of no GM. Good to to contend with.

    Re: Basemogul Junkies 2.0

We recently completed our 3rd season and have just opened FA. We continue to have a very active league with many dedicated GMs. SD, WAS, and TOR are all open.

Washington Nationals- 63-99, 6th overall pick in draft, This team has alot of under developed young guys but a loaded farm. They arent anywhere near bad shape but could use some tune ups.

Toronto Blue Jays- 55-107, 3rd overall pick in draft, This team has aton of nice pieces in the batting part of the team both ML and Minors. But their pitching needs alot of work. Add some SP and they could compete in a competitive ALE.

San Diego Padres- 40-122, 1st overall pick in draft, This is a project team that needs alot of work. We have never really had a truly dedicated GM for this team but they have a decent farm. They need a dedicated GM who will help put the pieces back together here.

    Re: Basemogul Junkies 2.0

We currently have four teams open
We are in year 2014 and just completed the draft last night. We sim sunday through thursday and have the weekends off

    OPEN TEAMS

Baltimore Orioles - Great farm system, could compete next year with some work

Minesota Twins - currently 3rd place 7.5 out. Still have time to compete this year

Washington Nationals - One of the BEST farm systems in the game, top of the line specs in this club house

Houston Astros - projected record is 85-77. won the WC last season but the GM was fired. CAN compete this year just could use some lineups into the game

Let me say this honestly, I', not just blabering about this league because I'm trying to fill spots. I'm saying this because I mean it. We have a great core of GM's , everyone of them have the skills to make a run for the world series. It's stiff competion in every league.

Everyone in the league gets along and we don't just talk about the game, we crack at each other, literally laughg out loud at some of the things the guys say. It's an awesome place and we will be around for a while..

So stop by to chat and/or pick up a team

    Re: Basemogul Junkies 2.0

All four teams mentioned in the above post have been taken, but we have opened two more teams

Pittsburg Pirates - Have great MLB talent as well as some excellent prospects, projected W/L record is 82-80 as of sim 7. With a couple of moves and lineups submitted, they could be a contender next year

San Diego Padres - this team has had a revolving door of GM's. Have some good MLB talent with some tuds in the minors. A project team for an experienced GM

Come by to take one of these teams

    Re: Basemogul Junkies 2.0

Just finished up 2014 and have just opened FA. We got about 3 teams open but besides that running strong.

Baltimore Orioles: 60-102, 5th in ALE, 3rd overall pick. The only reason Baltimore did as bad as it did is because it did not have a GM, but this team is fully equiped to make a run. Their rotation is scary good. They could add a few pieces on offense and in the pen but the lineup has got alot of young stars.

New York Mets: 77-85, 3rd in NLE, 14th overall pick. New York needs some work to compete in a very hard NL East. They have some young pieces and some decent NL pieces but they need either some guys to grow up or get traded for better pieces before they are ready to take on the rest of the division.

San Diego Padres: 72-90, 3rd in NLW, 10th overall pick. They got alot better this year even with no GM. They still though got alot of work to be able to compete. They reserves of specs are low but the guys in the ML already are pretty young and can put up a fight. They just have never had an active and good GM to help them get to compete. Besides that a solid team.

    Re: Basemogul Junkies 2.0

We finished 2015 up the other night and FA has just opened. We had a great season but have a few more open teams then we would like.

Boston Red Sox: 103-59, AL Champion. Boston went all the way to the World Series with no GM but lost in 7 games. They have also made 2 world series appearances in 5 seasons. Boston is a strong teams with alot of youth that is playing great. They do still have some of their strong vets though. If your looking to step into a team that is a winner Boston is the team to do it with.

Pittsburgh Pirates: 64-98, 6th in NLC, 4th overall pick. These guys were in it a few years ago but a season without a GM set them back. They still have some nice pieces but have some holes that need to be filled. Fill those holes and get a GM in and you got a competitor in a good NLC.

Houston Astros: 83-79, 4th in NLC. Like PIT they were in it a season or 2 ago then lost a GM and set them back. They still have some nice pieces but have some holes that need to be filled. Fill those holes and get a GM in and you got a competitor in a good NLC.

San Francisco Giants: 79-83, 3rd in NLC. The Giants lost a very good GM mid season and never recooped. They have a very good lineup and a decent rotation that needs a little work. They are usually always at the top in the NLW and could and will be again this year.

San Diego Padres: 62-100, 5th in NLW, 3rd overall pick. They've grown alot but still have alot a holes to fix in the lineup. Rotation is pretty good though. They still have a very good farm but this is a definite project team.

We just finished our 2016 Amateur Draft last night and have 1 team open. Our next sim is tonight.

Chicago Cubs: 24-37, 5th in NLC- They have a pretty good rotation but need some help in the pen. Their offense has alot of holes but has some good pieces. They need some work but they got the pieces to build around or trade for good talent.

    Re: Basemogul Junkies 2.0

We are about to start our 7th season tonight with Sim 1 of 2017. We have a few openings we'd loved to get filled in the next few days. We are still currently running off of Mogul 12 for now.

New York Yankees- 94-68, AL Wildcard: The Yanks are a team as always that are competing. They have only once missed the playoffs in this league. They have a nice young core especially in their rotation with not many holes in their lineups. As always they are in the thick of the playoff race.

Seattle Mariners- 68-94, 3rd in ALW, 4th overall pick in the draft: The M's in recent years haven't had a true GM and have taken some hits but still have some pretty good pieces. They are a project team but they have the pieces to help them make them not that difficult.

San Diego Padres- 37-125, 1st overall pick: Coming off of the worst record in MLB history I hate to be like this but, they are a huge project team. Most of their talent did not develop and they suffered. They have a few decent guys but they need a gm who will work his but off to get them good.

San Francisco Giants- 85-77, 3rd in NLW: The Giants are growing old and fading but they have some pieces in their farm that are developing pretty well. It may be a season or 2 but they will be good soon once again in what is becoming a very competitive NLW

We have just opened FA and are set to begin the 2019 season in a few days. We have a few more open teams then we'd like and we want to get some new blood in our league and continue what has been a great league. We have a great core group of guys who love the league and commit alot to it. It is a fun place to be and I urge you to join. We have switched over to BM 2013 now.
