I admit this poll is a bit rigged, because any Democrat will probably vote for the potato.

I said in 2008 that the Bush Presidency was so horrible that the Democrats would win if they just nominated a potato. They pretty much did. Hillary had baggage; young Barry Obama was just a potato with the word 'Hope' scrawled on him.

With the economy still reeling, the Republicans can retake the Whitehouse by nominating a potato. Luckily for the Democrats, there are no potatoes in the Republican field. Pototoes don't deny global warming. Potatoes don't strap dogs to the roof of their Volvos.

A potato would be great because of it's inability to sign a budget bill which would cause non essential funding to be cut to 0. So maybe I should consider voting for a potato.
