    Unrealistic Pitch Counts

I am playing a modern game as the St. Louis Cardinals, and in my game against the Cubs, Paul Maholm pitched a complete game in a 6-4 loss. He threw 141 pitches, obviously gave up all 6 runs, 7 hits, and 4 walks. I would understand such a ridiculous pitch count if he had a no hitter, but with his team losing and him not even being very effective? This isn't the only time it has happened, and I was wondering if there was a way to change this to be more realistic.

One way is to go to simulations and lower the innings pitched, another is to go to strategies and lower pitchs and pitching through trouble. You can lower the computer run teams before the season starts and they wont change back until the off season.
