Baseball Mogul 2014: Official Patch (Version 16.04)

If you already own Baseball Mogul 2014, download and unzip the attached file. Then double-click to install the new files.

Changes include:
1) Roster improvements (including the elimination of dead players from active rosters).
2) New Minor League Fielding data (fixes bug that was showing some historical pitcher [pre-1990] as Center Fielders).
3) Defensive ratings fixed.
4) Positional ratings (in Scouting field diagram) fixed.
5) "Pitch Count" option in Player Strategies fixed.

Can you make it so the all star teams are two different colors that can be changed? or else make it hard coded and make one red and one blue or something. They are both jet black right now..top and pants..looks very odd

Do we start the game in "Modern" mode for the updates to take effect, or do we use "Classic" and select the year 2013? Thanks.

I started in Modern and the finances looked bad. I started in Classic and they looked better. So, I assume Classic. I am still unhappy about the starting rosters and pictures missing or not connected. Especially for ARIZONA. But I guess I will learn how to add players, stats, move players, etc....

That's what I thought, too. Finances looked bad in Modern, but then the rosters are still WAY off in Classic. I guess just go with Classic and try to fix everything with the rosters ourselves. I've had the game almost two weeks and still have not played anything hoping the rosters, etc., would get better. I'm giving up on that now.

Pictures from old sets (like mine from last year) do not "connect" every time because IDs change once a player has made his MLB debut. IDs are based on baseball-reference IDs, so for example, Didi Gregorius had not made his MLB debut when the 2012 season started. Thus, he had no baseball-reference ID and the photo was named gregodi51. Now that he's debuted, his baseball-reference ID is gregodi01. But unless you manually change the file name from 51 to 01 (or download a new set like the one I'm working on for this year), it won't show up in this year's game.

Just looked at AZ, but still the same defense problems: predicted stats show 300 games, Pennington with a 69 range, Goldschmidt with a 56 range (I'm surprised he can walk without tripping).

Jake Elmore and John McDonald still show on AZ, both gone.

Clay. Russell Branyan is retired. He has NEVER appeared in a major league game for the New York Yankees. Why is he even in their organization, let alone on their roster, in your game? I refuse to play until I don't have to remove him myself!

I get people are unhappy about the rosters, but pointing out every "mistake" is senseless and displays a lack of understanding of the process. It's not like Clay went in and updated every roster and just FORGOT about guys like Branyan. He's working off a CSV file and making specific moves. So some stuff is updated, some isn't. It's a mixture. But it's not a MISTAKE.

They are now hard-coded to red and blue in Version 16.05.

So, you get an All Star game? Mine is missing. lol
