7.05 Rookie of the year award values defense too much

Not the other awards, but the ROY. Seriously, ones that are not good fielders, and awful hitters. With other, excellent candidates.

If you go to the directory on your hard drive where you have BBM installed, there should be a file called AWARDS.INI. Open that file and lower the number next to shortstop and that should take care of your problem. Just keep in mind that doing this will also lower the number of shortstops that win the mvp award as well.

I've been told that shortstops with good defense are considered better players in Baseball mogul. That Shortstops are overvalued.
No I'm not joking. If I was joking I would have said "So a guy walks into a bar..."

Is there a way to get that to work for the Hall of Fame inductees also? I don't have 2K5 but on 2K4 it always excludes closers and inducts mediocre hitters and pitchers.

Is there a way to fix that?

There's also a HOF ini but it doesn't have a specific category for closers.

Just terrible shortstops that hit ~ 240 with 10 HR and poor fielding win it in mine too, not all the time but it happens more often then it should... aka never

I had a closer make it one time with over 800 saves pitched until he was like 44 i just kept signing him after 40 he would have like 25-35 saves (after 40) with eras of 3.7+. He just got in with a 76% that's the player I'm most proud of. Can't help with any of the other stuff, but I know it doesn't exlude closers in 2004 anyway.
